Otylia Jędrzejczak
Olympic Champion, two-time silver medalist at the Olympic Games, and a multiple medalist at the European and World Championships. Graduate of the Academy of Physical Education, Kozminski University in PR in Practice, and the International Olympic University in Sochi – MSA (Master of Sport Administration).
Since 2015, President of the Otylia Jędrzejczak Foundation, which has involved over 200,000 participants in its projects. These projects aim to promote a healthy and active lifestyle and to improve mental and physical health through sports. The foundation’s motto is “Become a Champion of Life.” As the Chair of the Polish Women’s Sports Association, she actively works to promote and develop women’s sports in the country and to engage women in sports activities.
Since 2021, she has been the President of the Polish Swimming Association and, since 2023, the Vice President of the Polish Olympic Committee. She is also a member of the Board of the European and World Swimming Federations. Her life mottos are “There are no impossible things, only those to which I do not apply myself enough” and “Failure is a stop on the way to success.”

Alberto Pinto da Silva

Antonio Lutula
Swedish swimming coach, serving as head coach at the Swedish National Elite Center in Stockholm since January 2022. In 2023, he was named European Coach of the Year. Under his guidance, Sarah Sjöström won Olympic gold medals in the 50 m and 100 m freestyle at Paris 2024. Lutula also works with other top Swedish swimmers, combining modern training methods with an individualized approach to athletes.
Raúl Arellano
is Full Professor at the Faculty of Sport Sciences, University of Granada, where he directs the Aquatics Lab (recently accredited by European Aquatics as Training Centre and Sport Science). He has served as Head of Biomechanics and Performance Analysis for the Real Federación Española de Natación (2009–2012; 2019–2023) and has acted as an analyst at the Olympic Games (Barcelona 1992, Sydney 2000, London 2012, Tokyo 2020) and at the World Championships (1993 short course, 2003, 2013). His scholarly work focuses on swimming biomechanics, with applications to competition analysis, starts, turns and underwater undulatory phases; he is also the author of Entrenamiento Técnico en Natación (RFEN). Arellano has collaborated closely with leading coaches and athletes, including Fred Vergnoux and Mireia Belmonte, aligning applied race analysis with high-performance coaching practice. His publications have accrued over 3,500 citations on Google Scholar. Recent work includes the co-authored article “Factors Relating to Sprint Swimming Performance” in Sports Medicine (2025), integrating kinematic, kinetic and pacing determinants of sprint events to inform evidence-based practice.
Adrian Rădulescu
is a Romanian swimming coach and a higher education lecturer. He holds a PhD in sports science. Adrian’s dedication has been instrumental in the success of swimmers as David Popovici, whom he coached to Olympic title and world-record achievements in freestyle swimming. Adrian is also the co-founder of GRUNT project, a self-financed program aimed to contribute to a better support system for Romanian swimmers and coaches. Beyond his professional achievements, Adrian enjoys pursuing the personal challenge of reaching the Top 1000 in the Fantasy Premier League.
Bernd Berkhahn
is a leading German coach, specializing in preparing long-distance swimmers – both in the pool and in open water. The coach of the German national team has also been associated for many years with SC Magdeburg, which he has developed into one of the strongest swimming centers in Europe.
He has been repeatedly recognized for his successes with athletes who have won Olympic, World, and European Championship medals. He works with the current 400 m freestyle world record holder Lukas Märtens, four-time open water world champion Florian Wellbrock from Germany, as well as other decorated swimmers including Isabel Gose, Oliver Klemet, and Moesha Johnson.
In the past, he has also coached Sharon van Rouwendaal (Olympic champion in the 10 km in Paris) and Sarah Wellbrock, a medalist at the Tokyo Olympics in the 1500 m freestyle.
Lee Taylor
Dr Taylor is a globally impactful and world-leading researcher-practitioner in the human thermal stress space, delivering evidence-based policy change across the public and private sectors. This includes the challenges of high-performance sport, clinical practice, and occupationally orientated projects. His speciality is complex project delivery through the influence and management of myriad and often globally disparate stakeholders – through which – evidence-based policy change and optimised employee/athlete health, safety and performance are achieved. Dr Taylor’s heat-related expertise remains competitively sought across the globe.
His research expertise and practice have directly informed world-class athletes and teams’ heat-related preparations for, and their success at, major sporting tournaments across the globe (e.g., Tokyo and Paris Olympics, Qatar 2022 World Cup, World Athletics Championships at Qatar 2019 and Bucharest 2023, etc.). Indeed, Dr Taylor’s commissioned research from FIFA, UEFA, World Athletics, World Rugby, European Aquatics, and many other globally recognisable and impactful organisations/governing bodies, have directly informed policy and practice change at numerous World Cups, World Championships and Olympics Games (at athlete, team, and tournament governance levels).
Currently, Dr Taylor is a Reader (Associate Professor) in Exercise and Environmental Physiology at Loughborough University. Alongside this, he performs extensive consultancy work within elite sport.
Tomasz Wilczewski
educator, Doctor of Health Sciences, and specialist in physical culture studies. He graduated from the University of Physical Education in Gdańsk (2009) and the University of Physical Education in Katowice (2023). Since 2023, he has been a lecturer at the WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza, teaching sports coach pedagogy.
An experienced basketball coach (Polish Basketball League, I and II leagues) with first-class qualifications, over 10 years of experience working with youth, and extensive coaching experience within Polish sports associations. Co-author of 21 scientific and educational publications, participant in coaching internships in Lithuania and the USA, and recognized by European institutions.
Founder of the Academy of Education, Psychology, and Sport, the “Union of Sport for Children and Youth” Association, and the Imopeksis Foundation; ambassador of the innovative sport discipline 3Kosze. Member of the coaching staff of the Polish national team for athletes with disabilities in cross-country skiing, lecturer in the Extended Disc and Emitype systems, and speaker at over 200 conferences. Creator of educational materials promoting physical culture, sport.
Jan Oleksów
(born 02.07.1996) began his sports career in 2004, swimming for the UKS Żoliborz club while simultaneously training in water polo. In 2009, he made his debut in the Polish youth national teams and currently plays in the senior team. Since 2016, he has been coaching children, youth, and adults. He is currently a player for ŁSTW Łódź – the most decorated water polo club in Poland. In 2022, he graduated from the University of Physical Education in Warsaw.
For several years, in cooperation with the Ministry of Sport and the Polish Swimming Federation, he has been developing Polish water polo by co-creating the Splashball program and the Amateur Splashball League.
He is the author of the first practical guide in Poland for teaching water polo to children and youth, created on behalf of the Polish Swimming Federation – the Splashball Instructor’s Guide.
Bartosz Kizierowski
Four-time Olympian, World Championship medalist, and two-time European Champion. Multiple-time Polish national champion and record holder. After retiring from his athletic career, he moved to Madrid and began working as a coach. He served as a coach for the Olympic teams (Poland 2012 and Spain 2016) and collaborated with top Polish and Spanish swimmers. For many years, he coached Konrad Czerniak, guiding him to major international successes. He was a coach for the Spanish national team (2012–2017) and later for the Madrid CN club.
Tomasz Pąchalski
Master Class Swimming Coach, Sports Manager, currently working as the Head of Sports at the Water Park and Sports Hall in Tarnowskie Góry. He is the Coordinator of the local Swimming Academy and the MKS Park Wodny Tarnowskie Góry club.He is a member of the Presidium of the Board of the Polish Swimming Federation, responsible for open water swimming. He is also a member of the Board of the Silesian District Swimming Association. He has trained many medalists and record holders in swimming, open water swimming, and ice swimming.
He was the Coordinator of the National Senior and Junior Open Water Swimming Teams from 2013-2016. He was the Sports Director for five editions of the BCT Gdynia Marathon (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015). A former swimmer and six-time Polish Champion, he graduated from the Academy of Physical Education in Katowice.
He is also an organizer and initiator of numerous national and international sports events.

Donat Oleksów
One of the most experienced and respected water polo coaches in Poland. A former player for Legia Warsaw, he is currently the coach of the Polish National Water Polo Team under the Polish Swimming Federation (PZP). After retiring from his playing career, he dedicated himself to training young talents and developing water polo in Poland. He is the creator and promoter of the innovative Splashball program – water-based games and physical activities that provide an excellent way to engage children in sport, support healthy development, and teach safe behavior in the water. His efforts to popularize water polo and promote an active lifestyle have contributed to nurturing a new generation of athletes and raising awareness about the importance of sport in the lives of young people.

Jakub Kosowski
Doctor of Law, academic lecturer at the Faculty of Law and Administration at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, and legal advisor with nearly 20 years of experience in non-profit organization law, sports law, criminal law, domestic violence prevention, and crime prevention. Author of over 150 scientific publications. President of the Board of the Polish Society for Non-Profit Organization Law.
Ryszard Szul
Physiologist, first-class track and field coach, swimming coach, former staff member of the Department of Water Sports at the University of Physical Education in Kraków. He has worked with medalists and participants of the Olympic Games in athletics, skiing, cycling, and triathlon in the area of training intensity assessment and monitoring. For many years, he served as a strength and conditioning coach and physiologist for the football teams Legia Warsaw and Wisła Kraków. With the latter, he won the Polish Championship four times.
Currently, he conducts training and consultations for coaches and athletes in athletics, triathlon, tennis, football, and basketball.
For several years, he has also been cooperating with swimming coaches in the field of training load monitoring and diagnostic testing.
Małgorzata Witmanowicz
Graduate of the University of Physical Education in Warsaw, WOPR lifeguard, rescue diver, and swimming instructor. Already during her studies, she worked with young children at a tennis club, conducting comprehensive motor skills classes to prepare them for starting sports training.
Founder of one of the first swimming schools for infants and young children in Poland, which she has passionately run for 24 years. Together with her husband, she develops the Sport and Holidays Foundation, organizing summer and winter sports camps for children, youth, families, and adults – from swimming and windsurfing to tennis and skiing.

Artur Paczyński
Student of the School of Sports Mastery in Racibórz. Graduate of the University of Physical Education in Warsaw – Master of Physical Education, swimming coach. Coach at SMS Racibórz, UKS “POLONEZ” Wyszków, ATP Augustów, and currently at UKS “PŁYWACY” Augustów. Since 2016, Vice President for Training at the Podlaskie Regional Swimming Federation. Coach of the Regional Team. Served two terms as a member of the Coaches’ Council at the Polish Swimming Federation (PZP).
His athletes have won all types of medals at the Polish Championships, from the youngest categories to older juniors. Since 2011, he has worked with an athlete in the S5 disability classification – Janusz Kondracki, who for 12 years was the Polish champion in breaststroke.

Aleksandra Filipiuk
Former athlete and member of the Polish National Team in artistic swimming, multiple medalist of the Polish Championships, competitor at European and World Championships. Certified instructor of the Polish Swimming Federation (PZP) and coach in the SynchroStart program, she collaborated in preparing the Junior National Team for the 2024 European Championships in Athens. Currently, she is an artistic swimming coach at the Warsaw Masters Team Association.
Eleni Filipiuk Adamos
Former competitive swimmer of CWKS Legia Warsaw, Class I swimming coach, artistic swimming instructor, and certified referee of the Polish Swimming Federation (PZP). She founded the first artistic swimming sports section in Warsaw and is a coach in the SynchroStart program. Under her guidance, many athletes have been selected for the Polish National Team, competed at World and European Championships, and achieved success both nationally and internationally.

Sebastian Humbla
Vice President of the Polish Swimming Federation and Vice President of the Podlaskie District Swimming Association. A sports manager and lecturer, he has for many years been engaged in managing and supporting the activities of sports clubs. He is actively involved in the development and promotion of swimming in Poland. He also serves as President of the sports club UKS Juvenia Białystok, which successfully trains and supports young athletes.
For the third time, he is acting as the main organizer of the Conference for Swimming Coaches and Instructors, the most important event in the swimming community, bringing together coaches, athletes, researchers, and enthusiasts of the sport.
Daniel Almeida Marinho
Received his Habilitation in Sport Sciences (2013), from the University of Beira Interior, Portugal, where he became a Full professor at the Department of Sport Sciences since December 2023. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Biomechanics (2009), from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, Portugal. He received his BSc in Sports and Physical Education from the Faculty of Sports of the University of Porto in 2004. His main research interests are biomechanics, performance, training and swimming. He is Editorial Member of several International Journals, Director of the Research Centre in Sports, Health and Human Development (CIDESD, Portugal) and the Project Manager of the European Aquatics Academy. He published more than 100 journal peer-reviewed papers, more than 50 conference proceedings, and 10 books.
